Dennis Lee Hightower

   Dennis Hightower, age 71 of Hopkinsville, KY passed away 1:20 AM Sunday April 2, 2017 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. David Harrison and Rev. Mike Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Hightower was born June 28, 1945 in Christian County, KY the son of the late Carl and Bessie Pulley Hightower. He was a farmer, owner and operator of Hightower Excavating and worked at Phelps Dodge and a member of Concord Baptist Church. He was also a member of the National Guard and a past member of the Christian County Sheriff’s Posse.
Survivors include; his Fiancé, Carolyn Shaw of Hopkinsville; two daughters, Melissa Powell and her husband, Donald of Hopkinsville, Patricia Lambden and her husband, Jeremy of Salado, TX; two grandchildren, Tyler and Haley Powell; five brothers, Richard Hightower, Charles Hightower, Jerry Hightower, Randy Hightower all of Hopkinsville, Larry Hightower of Albuquerque, NM; four sisters, Rita Manire of Christian County, Helen Poe, Wanda Hook both of Hopkinsville, Janice Petrin of Chesapeake Bay, VA.
