Robert Lee Glass, age 78, of Hopkinsville, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Brookdale Senior Living Center in Clarksville, TN of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Bro. Ryan Scott officiating and burial to follow in Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Glass was born in Todd Co., KY, on February 11, 1939 to the late Thomas and Nora Brown Glass. Robert retired after 42 years from Pennyrile Rural Electric. He was a member of Bainbridge Grove Baptist Church. He was a former member of Kiwanis, the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association, and previously served as Senior Adult Sunday School & Training Union Teacher for many years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother Tommy Glass.
Survivors include wife of 46 years, Janet Hale Glass of Hopkinsville; three sons Todd Glass, Keith Glass, and Marty Glass all of Hopkinsville; four brothers Cecil Glass of Orlando, FL., Billy Glass and wife Cindy of Lynn Haven, FL., Gene Glass and wife Polly of Pembroke, and Burnley Glass of Pembroke; two sisters Kathy Vooris and husband Jim of Pembroke and Belva Stith and husband Benton of Chipley, FL.; seven grandchildren Marshal Glass, Mallory Blake, Laken Glass, Michele Oakley, JR Glass, Matt Glass, and Chance Glass; and seven great grandchildren Miles Glass, Patrick Glass, Gentry Glass, Matthew Glass, Jada Glass, Jayden Glass, and Cain Glass.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Gideon’s International.
