Geneva Combs

   Geneva Smith Combs, age 89, of Root Road, Crofton, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, at her home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Kim Combs, Rev. Rick Hatley and Rev. Barry Williams officiating with burial to follow in Myers Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Combs was born January 31, 1928 in Ary, KY the daughter of the late John C. and Mary Campbell Smith. She retired as a bookkeeper from Lovells Door and Glass. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Geneva was preceded in death by her daughter, Kay Combs; her brothers, John Richard Smith, Denvard Smith and Kenneth Smith; her sisters, Sue Burnette, Reva Sheaffer, and Wanda Stacy.
   Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Ira Combs of Crofton; her son, Rev. Kim Combs and his wife, Janice of Crofton; her brother, James Smith and his wife, Judy of Ary, KY; her granddaughter, Tammy Stevenson and her husband, Austin of Herndon; her great-grandchildren, Amanda Stokes and her husband, Mike of Hopkinsville, Cody Farmer and his wife, Jordan of Herndon, Colton Farmer of Hopkinsville, and Brett Stallons of Herndon; her great-great grandchildren, Blake Fields, Callie Fields, and Easton Farmer.
