Mr. Richard Joiner, age 69, of Alumni Ave passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his home of natural causes. Memorial Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, January 15, 2018 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Father Richard Meredith officiating. Entombment of Richard and his late wife Phyllis Vass Joiner will be at a later date at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the service hour at 1:00 PM on January 15, 2018 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Joiner was born July 14, 1948, in Montgomery, TN, the son of the late Lawrence Eldridge and Verna Parker Williams Joiner. Richard was in the United States Navy and worked for PWR Construction. He then went on to be owner and operator of Crack Master Windshield Repair for over 20 years. He was a member of Saint’s Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He was a member of the Eagles Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis Vass Joiner in 2015.
Survivors include his son, Eric Joiner and his wife, Heathre of Hopkinsville; one sister, Gayle Joiner, of Oregon; and three grandchildren, Brittan, Nathan and Bret Joiner.
