Wanda Sue Pryor Boyd

Wanda Sue Pryor Boyd, age 83, of Hopkinsville passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Dr. Don Dilday officiating and burial to follow in Flat Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Boyd was born in Trigg County, KY, on December 20, 1939, the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Virginia Joiner Pryor. Wanda retired after 41 years in banking where she held the position of Vice President and Senior Trust Officer. She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. Wanda enjoyed horse shows, riding and showing horses with her father, antiquing, decorating, and vacations at the beach. She had a flair for all things beautiful.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Norris E. “Buddy” Boyd of Hopkinsville; her daughter, Kelly B. Walker and her husband Todd of Cadiz; her sisters, Marilyn Pryor Grimes of Hopkinsville, Anita Pryor Clayton and her husband Craig of Hopkinsville; she was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Wayne Pryor; survivors also include; two step-grandchildren, Abbie Walker and Hunter Walker; and four step-great-grandchildren.
