Trula Mae Bolinger, age 93, of Pembroke, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at her home of natural causes. The family has chosen to have a private family funeral service with burial in Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Bolinger was born March 20, 1927, in Strawberry Plains, TN, the daughter of the late Arthur Lindsey and Grace Witt Finchum. She was a homemaker and taught at Pembroke Elementary School for over 27 years. She was a member of Pembroke Baptist Church for 68 years where she was a Sunday school teacher, WMU, and choir member. She was a long time member of the West Fork Homemakers Club. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, of 69 years Roy Edward Bolinger in 2017.
Survivors include her sons, Dan Bolinger and his wife, Sarah of Pembroke, David Bolinger and his wife, Susan of Pembroke, and Steve Bolinger and his wife, Mona of Pembroke; her daughter, Janice Arvin and her husband, Paul of Pembroke; her brother, Don Finchum and his wife Phyllis of Strawberry Plains, TN; her sisters, Jean Mee of Knoxville, TN, Ella Bea Hodges of Strawberry Plains, TN; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
