   Theron V. Blankenship, age 96, of Hopkinsville, passed away on March 14, 2021, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be 1:00PM Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Mr. Blankenship was born in Alton, MO, on October 17, 1924, the son of the late Hosea A. and Frances Matilda Sifford Blankenship. He was a factory worker. Theron was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He was in the 99th Infantry in the US Army, serving during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Marcella Ruth Warren Blankenship; his son, Richard Warren Blankenship; his brother, Voyd D. Blankenship.

   Survivors include his son Michael “Mike” Blankenship and his wife, Linda of Hopkinsville; his daughter, Therolyn “Terri” Parker of Hopkinsville; his brother, Hosea A. Blankenship of Springfield, MO; his granddaughter, Lisa Parker and her husband, Jeff of Hopkinsville; and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Alexandra.

   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund.
