Tammy Gayle Massie Thomas, age 52, of Hopkinsville passed away on April 8, 2020, at Vanderbilt Medical Center of natural causes. There will be a private graveside service held at a later date in Rosedale Cemetery. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

   Ms. Thomas was born in Hopkinsville, KY on January 13, 1968, the daughter of Pamela Seay Cole of Fairview, KY and the late Bobby Massie. Tammy was a school bus driver for Christian County Public Schools, and was a 1986 graduate of Hopkinsville High School, where she was a member of the band. She drove the 2016 Hopkinsville High School Band to their 2016 state championship competition, and worked and helped with the Christian County Wrestling Team. She was a member of One Church in Cadiz, KY, as well as the chief of the Northwest Fire Department and a volunteer at the Fairview Fire Department. Tammy was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Thomas.

   Survivors include her mother, Pamela Cole of Fairview, KY; her boyfriend, Nathan Glenn Bryant of Hopkinsville; her sons, Donnie Thomas and his wife Brittney of Hopkinsville, and Dusty Thomas of Hopkinsville; her brother, Malcolm Lee Massie of Fairview, KY; her sister, Jenny Newby of Hopkinsville; and her five grandchildren.

   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her honor to Northwest Fire Department at 7812 Poole Mill Road, Crofton, KY 42217; the Hopkinsville High School Band Booster Club or the Christian County Wrestling Team.
