Seldon “Red” Lockard, age 85, of Hopkinsville, passed away at 2:15 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Bradford Heights Health and Rehab of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville with full military honors. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 12:00 PM on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Lockard was born in Campton, KY, on October 5, 1932, to the late Hayden and Sally Bell Haddock Lockard. He is retired from the Civil Service in Fort Campbell. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by four brothers, Troy Lockard, Fred Lockard, Price Lockard, Pearl Lockard; and one grandson Chris Blake.
Survivors include his two daughters, Rita L. Gilliland and husband, David of Hopkinsville, Teresa Blake and her husband, Murray of Hopkinsville; Special Friend of 26 years, Hilda Gilliland of Hopkinsville; three grandchildren, Hillery Ohnemus and husband Bob of Mayfield, Bryan Blake and wife Mica of Fairview, TN, and Amanda Majors and husband Jeff of Crofton.
