Sarah Adell Cannon Boyd

Sarah Adell Cannon Boyd, age 83 of Butler Road, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at her daughters home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Hancock officiating with burial to follow in Henderson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.

Mrs. Boyd was born in Christian County on May 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Claude Thomas and Hula D. Jones Cannon.  She was a homemaker and a member of First General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Boyd; her brother Adrian Cannon; and her sister Jean Pyle.

Survivors include her son, William Dennis Mayes of Hopkinsville; two daughters, Phyllis Flynn of Hopkinsville, Sue Gibson and her husband Mitchell of Hopkinsville; her sister Claudette Taylor and her husband Phillip of Lexington, KY; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
