Roy M. Alder, age 72, of Greenville Road, passed away 9:04 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 8, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.

Mr. Alder was born in Christian County, KY, on May 3, 1945, to the late Joel and Onie Boyd Alder. He was farmer and a member of Judges Chapel Baptist Church and the Kentucky Cattleman Association.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Beverly Lee Alder of Hopkinsville; his sons, Alan Alder and his wife, Annette of Hopkinsville, and Jeff Alder and his wife, Lana of Petersburg, TN; his daughters, Sandy Martin of Hopkinsville, and Sherry Winters and her husband, Wade of Muhlenberg County; his brothers, Joe Earl Alder of Hopkinsville, Wayne Alder of Elkton, Ray Alder of Hopkinsville, and Gayle Alder of Hopkinsville; his sister, Marybell Boren of Hopkinsville; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
