Rev. Bob Lawrence, age 93, of Northwind Drive in Hopkinsville, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Wilson, Rev. David Tucker, and Rev. Philip Brumfield all officiating and burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Bob was born in Smyrna, GA, on March 10, 1924 to the late Carl G. and Jessie Harper Lawrence. He was a member of Second Baptist Church where he led in ministry as the pastor for over 30 years. He served as pastor for numerous other churches over his years of being a minister. He was very involved with his church and spreading the word of God. He was in the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Nell Lawrence in 2003; and eight other brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his many foster children who he fostered over the years of being a foster parent and his church family.
   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Second Baptist Church.
