Richard Thomas "Rick" Kranz

Richard Thomas “Rick” Kranz, age 35, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with Father Richard Meredith officiating and burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.   

   Mr. Kranz was born on December 28, 1984, in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of Bruce Kranz and Pamela Anne Hansen Brown. He graduated from Hopkinsville High School and went on to Austin Peay State University to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree and then on to Lindsey Wilson College to obtain his Master’s Degree. He was a licensed mental health counselor at PACS. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

   Survivors include his father, Bruce (Cindy) Kranz of Hopkinsville, KY; his mother, Pam (Dwight) Brown of Gracey, KY; brothers, B. J. Kranz of Hopkinsville, KY and Zack (Amber) Brown of Owensboro, KY; his sisters, Ashley (Kevin) Balthrop of Gracey, KY, Rebecca (John) Vowell of Hopkinsville, KY and Holly (Trey) Astle of Wichita, KS along with several nieces and nephews.

   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Grace & Mercy or Restoration House.
