Rebecca Sue Burd

Rebecca Sue Burd, age 77, of Pembroke, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at her home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Pembroke United Methodist Church. Visitation will be at Pembroke United Methodist Church from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Burd was born June 13, 1945, in Hopkinsville, KY, the daughter of the late Malcolm Ural Tuggle and Georgannie Patterson Tuggle. She was a sales clerk for Montgomery Ward. Becky was a member of Pembroke United Methodist Church and Country Kitchen Homemaker Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Allen Burd; brothers, Winston Alexander Tuggle, James Malcolm Tuggle, John Burnett Tuggle, Thomas Free Tuggle, Charles Whitt Tuggle; her sisters, Betty Louise Hosley, Geneva Wells, Majorie Francis Armstead, and Annie Elizabeth Hopper.

She is survived by her son, Charles Burd, of Hopkinsville and her sister, Barbara Kay Fetting, of Columbia, MD;
