Philip Anthony Mangum Sr., age 62, of Oak Grove, KY passed away on February 4, 2020, at his residence of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with the internment being held at a later date at Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington, D.C.. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Mangum was born in Washington, D.C. on December 10, 1957, the son of the late Harvey C. Mangum Sr. and Lucille V. Giles Mangum. Philip was a veteran of the United States Army as well as a Phlebotomist, an Enucleator, an EMT and CNA. He was a member of Nativity Catholic Church in Washington, D.C.; was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was also an Alter Boy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Daniell- Mangum.
Survivors include his brother, Harvey C. Mangum Jr. and his wife Yolanda of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; his two sons, Philip Anthony Mangum, Jr. and his wife Bonae of Laveen, Arizona, Thomas Elliott Mangum and his wife Sabrina of Enterprise, Alabama; eight grandchildren; one niece and one great nephew.
