Peter "Pete" Clayton Harbold

Peter “Pete” Clayton Harbold, age 83, of Dawn Drive in Hopkinsville, passed away at 4:19 AM on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. David Tucker officiating and burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pete was born on March 23, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Walter and Martha Longbrake Harbold. He worked and retired from Thomas Industries, as a Quality Control Manager. Then he was a realtor for Robin Ray Realty and worked at Lewis Bakery. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and served in the United States Army. He signed with the Philadelphia Athletics the day he graduated high school and was assigned to the Hoppers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Gene Harbold and James Harbold.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Barbara Harbold; three sons, Mike Harbold and his wife Michelle of Hopkinsville, Tony Harbold and his wife Cathy of Hopkinsville, Kent Harbold and his wife Lisa of Hopkinsville; one brother George Harbold of Marysville, OH; two sisters, Janet Harbold of Marysville, OH, Sally Wakefield of Highlands Ranch, CO; eight grandchildren Nick Harbold, Lance Harbold, John Clayton Harbold, Stacey Harbold, Toni Lynn Harbold, Josh Harbold, Eric Hamilton, Brad Hamilton; eight great grandchildren, Libby Harbold, Zoey Harbold, Conner Harbold, Max Harbold, Jordan Irby, Bryson, Irby, Tucker Harbold, and Colson Hayes Harbold.
