Peggy Sue Lewis

Peggy Sue Stewart Lewis, age 71, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at her home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Brother David Smith officiating and burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 26 2021. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Mrs. Lewis was born in Cadiz, KY, on August 30, 1949, the daughter of the late Carl W. “Pete” and Louise Noel Stewart. Peggy was a retired Registered Nurse from Jennie Stuart Medical Center and retired Social Worker from Western State Hospital. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Mike Stewart.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Steve Lewis of Hopkinsville; her brothers, Hayden Stewart of Hopkinsville, Larry Stewart of Crofton, and Steve Stewart of Hopkinsville; her sister, Rachel Simpson and her husband William of Hopkinsville and her niece, Debbie Stewart of Hopkinsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made in her memory to Second Baptist Church at 720 West Seventh Street, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
