Paul Henson, age 80, of Hopkinsville passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020, at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville following a battle with lung cancer. Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Dr. Willis Henson and Rev. John Franklin officiating with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. A walk-through visitation with masks on and social distancing, will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Paul was born on March 11, 1940, in Livingston County the son of the late Bennett and Melva Driskill Henson. Paul served in the United States Navy during the Cuba Missile Crisis. He retired from Dana Corporation after 17 years. He was a Hopkinsville City Councilman for 14 years, also he was a chairman for several years on the Hopkinsville Transit System. He sat on numerous boards such as HWEA Board, Hopkinsville Solid Waste Board, RSVP Board, and the Hopkinsville Storm Water Utility Board. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Cecil Henson; and his two sisters, Gladys Schoening and Del Henson.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Nancy Henson of Hopkinsville; his two daughters, Debbie Henson Kumpfmuller and her husband Thomas of Hopkinsville, Cindy Henson Jenkins of Hopkinsville; his two sons, Tim Henson and his wife Diana of Hopkinsville, Tony Henson and his wife Mischelle of Hopkinsville; four brothers, Orvil Henson of Michigan, Roy Henson and his wife Neva of Grand Rivers, Dr. Willis Henson and his wife Bea of Paducah, Don Henson and his wife Velda of Ledbetter, KY; his one sister Dorothy Stacy of Metropolis, IL; twelve grandchildren, Ashley Vaughn, Clay Kumpfmuller, Haley Kumpfmuller, Mat Jenkins, Michael Jenkins, Mitchell Jenkins, Mason Jenkins, Mauri Jenkins, Alex Wimberly, Kyle Henson, Zach Henson, Casey Alder; and his four great grandchildren, Anelise Vaughn, Adam Vaughn, Charlie Jenkins, and Lennox Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the American Cancer Society or Edgewood Baptist Church.
