Paul Crawley

Paul Crawley, age 74, of Hopkinsville, passed away March 27, 2021, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz of natural causes. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Marq Toombs officiating and burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mr. Crawley was born on December 20, 1946, in Dallas, TX; the son of the late Paul Loland Crawley, Sr. and Mabel McGuire Crawley. Paul was a veteran in the US Army serving during the Vietnam War as member of the 101st Airborne Division. He was a postal worker for the United State Postal Services and also served as a police officer for the city of Hopkinsville. He was a member of Southside Church of Christ. Paul was also a life member of the VFW Post 1913 and Fraternal Order of the Elks and a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Lamb and Horace Park; his sister, Doris Robertson.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara J Dunn Crawley of Hopkinsville, his son, Brian Crawley of Hopkinsville; his daughter, Shannon Crawley Toombs and her husband Marq of Dallas, TX; and four grandchildren., Kenady Toombs of Dallas, Dagan Toombs serving in the Air Force in Afghanistan, Asher Toombs of Dallas, and Jadera Toombs of Dallas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the VFW Post 1913.
