Patricia Carver Sanders, age 83, of Hopkinsville passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022, at her home of natural causes. Graveside Services will be at 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022, with Pastor Dan Huck officiating at Rosedale Cemetery in Pembroke with burial to follow. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Nashville, TN, on March 25, 1939, the daughter of the late William D. and Thelma Edwards Carver. She retired as a customer service representative for CNA Insurance Company in Nashville. Before working in insurance, she was office manager for multiple medical offices in Nashville. She was a member of Chapel Ave Church of Christ in Nashville. To know Patricia was too know how she cherished her many titles and to be called by them. Her many titles included “Granny Pat”, “Grandmother”, “Gi Gi” and “Tish”. Her late husband, Harlan was a singer/song writer. They were very active in the music business. He had worked for the House of Cash and wrote George Jones song “If Drinking doesn’t kill me her Memory will.” Patricia supported his dream and profession. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Sanders, August 29, 2003. They lead a happy and full life together.
Survivors include her daughter, Kristie Kay Gamble and her husband Mike of Hopkinsville, her granddaughter, Mary Katherine “Katie” Gamble of Hopkinsville; her great grandson, Reese Michael Choate of Hopkinsville; her sister, Martha Thurman and her husband Freddie of Kingston Springs, TN; and a host of special friends.
