Nancy Lou Steele

   Nancy Lou Steele, age 81, of Hopkinsville, passed away on July 6, 2020, at her home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 10, 2020, with Bro. Neil Immel officiating and burial to follow at New Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.

   Mrs. Steele was born in Russellville, KY, on April 26, 1939, the daughter of the late James and Nellie Mae Cornelius Brigance. She was a hairdresser for over 20 years at Kathy’s in Pembroke, as well as a cafeteria worker at Millbrooke Elementary School. She was a member of New Ebenezer Church for over 60 years. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death is her husband, Howard “Gene” Steele; her brother, Delbert Brigance; her sister, Joyce Scott.

   Survivors include her son Brandon Steele of Christian County; two daughters, Katrena Blackwell and husband William of Christian County, and Shelly Turner and husband John of Christian County; and her three grandchildren Lauren, Owen, and Samuel.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
