Rene Tucker

Rene Tucker, age 88, of Christian County, passed away March 7, 2021, at her home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Thursday March 11, 2021, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Tucker was born on June 22, 1932, to the late Cecil and Beulah Chandler Kelly. She was the owner and lead hairdresser at Rene’s Beauty Shop. She was also a member of the Kentucky Hairdresser and Cosmetologist Association and The Bluegrass Hair and Fashion Committee. Rene was a member of Southside Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Elwood Tucker.

Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Coggins of Hopkinsville, and Teresa Gwen Sills of Hopkinsville; her brother, Guy Kelly of White Plains; her sisters, Minnie Mason of Hopkinsville and Laura Cook of Hopkinsville; four grandchildren, Matthew Workman, Amber Owen, Tyler Workman, and Josh Coggins; five great grandchildren, Ellie Workman, Parker Workman, Landen Owen, Amoree Owen, and Adilyn Owen; and one great grandson due in May, Cylan Coggins.
