Milburn Ray DeCoursey

Milburn Ray DeCoursey, age 93, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville after a brief illness. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. David Tucker officiating and burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at 12:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Milburn was born in Springfield, TN, on April 19, 1928, the son of the late Archie E. and Lillie Mae Christian DeCoursey. Milburn was a retired salesman for Nabisco and a longtime member of Second Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jean B. DeCoursey in 2016; his brother, Glendon L. DeCoursey and a great grandson, Oliver Ray Southwood.

Survivors include his sons, Steve L. DeCoursey and Linda Rhudy of Cadiz, Ray Brent DeCoursey and his wife Nancy VanCleave of Hopkinsville; his sister, Melba Jean DeCoursey of Lexington, KY; his grandchildren, Derek DeCoursey of Hopkinsville, Katherine Southwood of Louisville, and Rachel Fields of Hopkinsville, his great grandchildren, Gabe and Gavin DeCoursey, Ella Mae and Levi Fields, and Avery Lee Southwood.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews or the local Salvation Army.
