Mary Jo Hinson, age 70, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Hinson was born in Homer, New York, on June 1, 1951, the daughter of Thola Schenck Redfield the late William Redfield. She worked at Flynn’s Enterprises and Christian County Public School as a cafeteria worker. Mary formally attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Redfield, and her sister, Laurie Vosburgh.
In addition to her mother, Thola Redfield of Homer, New York, survivors include her husband of 28 years, Bobby Ray Hinson of Hopkinsville; her sons, Steve Burnham and his wife Keena of Evansville, IN, Jeff Burnham and his wife Julie of Pembroke, Mathew Burnham and his wife Tammy of Crofton, and Andrew Burnham of Murray; his step-daughters, Shelley Poindexter and her husband Tyrone of Hopkinsville, and Shara Felix and her husband Richard of Hopkinsville; her brothers, Dr. Jon Redfield and his wife Sharon of New York, Patrick Redfield and his wife Leisha of New York, Dennis Redfield and his wife Joan of New York, Timothy Redfield and his wife Velma of Illinois, William Redfield and his wife Judy of Virginia; her sisters, Marta Redfield of New York and Rebecca Saiff and her husband Rob of New York; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
