Mary Edith Alder Deason

Mary Edith Alder Deason, age 86, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Christian Health Center of natural causes. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at Henderson Cemetery in Christian Co. with Rev. Jimmy Stewart officiating and burial to follow. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
   
   Mary was born in Hopkinsville on August 30, 1934, the daughter of the late Earnest McKinley and Bonnie Belle Jones Alder. She worked for a number of years as a LPN Nurse at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and after her time there she worked for many of the local doctors. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church and part of the Honey Grove Homemakers Group. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Bobby E. Deason in 2011; her son, Santos Deason in 2016; and her sister Mildred Alder in 2008.

   Survivors include her son, David Deason and his wife Becky of Princeton, KY; her three grandchildren, David Wayne Maddux, Jonathon Patterson, and Jessica Morse; and her seven great grandchildren.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the American Alzheimer’s Association or to Henderson Cemetery.
