Marvin Cooksey

   Marvin Louis Cooksey, age 72, of Hopkinsville passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, August 29, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, Hopkinsville.

Mr. Cooksey was born in Crofton, KY on August 4, 1947, the son of the late Roy and Myrtle Jackson Cooksey.  He was a deputy sheriff in Christian County from 1980 to 2006. He was also a truck driver for over 46 years. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Henderson Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother; Edward Cooksey, and his sister; Mary Lou Beshears.

Survivors include his loving wife; Patricia Cranor Cooksey, his son; Tim Cooksey and his wife Tracy of Hopkinsville, his brother; John P. Cooksey of Adamsville, TN. Survivors also include his three grandchildren and his 2 great grandchildren.
