Mark Wayne Clark, age 76, of Christian County formerly of Okeechobee, FL, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM Monday, April 26, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Harris officiating with burial to follow in Powell Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, April 26, 2021. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Clark was born in Cadiz, KY, on January 31, 1945, the son of the late William Leon and Avis Naomi Morgan Clark. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. After his military career, Mr. Clark became an Agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at Okeechobee High School where he retired after 32 years. He was a member of Roaring Springs Christian Church, and member of the Okeechobee Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Clark and Leonard Clark and his sisters, Martha Manoso and Sara Stubblefield.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Wanda Sue Clark, of Christian County; his son, Mark Clark and his wife, Olivia of Christian County; his brother, Charlie Clark of Pennsylvania; his sister, Lucretia “Lu” (Carroll) Thomas of Cadiz; his two grandsons, Carson Clark and Garrett Clark and his granddaughter, Gracelyn Clark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Pennyroyal Hospice.
