Lonnie Gene Jones

Lonnie Gene Jones, age 71, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away at 3:15 AM on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN, of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at St. John United Methodist Church in Hopkinsville with Rev. Janet L. Carden and Rev. Dr. Don Dilday officiating and burial at Riverside Cemetery at a later time. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at St. John United Methodist Church. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
   Mr. Jones was born in Christian County on May 5, 1947, to the late Walton and Vivian Mae Gary Jones. He was the Co-Owner and Operator of Indian Hills Garden Shop Inc. and Owner of Line Rite Company. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and a member of the League of Kentucky Sportsmen. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister, Virginia Jones Gibson; brothers, Barney Lewis Jones, James Walton Jones, Virgil Lee Jones; and sister, Helen Mae Jones Pyle.
   Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Harriett Elaine Murphree Jones of Hopkinsville, his three daughters, Kim Elaine Jones Manire and her husband Joseph of Louisville, KY, Kelly Laine Jones Dunbar of Princeton, KY, Kristin Leslie Jones Faulkner and her husband Michael of Elizabeth City, N.C.; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
   Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Christian County Gideon Camp at P.O. Box 982 Hopkinsville, KY 42241 of to the Beautification and Landscaping Project at St. John United Methodist Church at 2808 South Virginia Street Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
