Lillian Irene Bates

Lillian “Irene” Luttrull Bates, age 87, of Clark Store Sinking Fork Road passed away at 6:10 AM Thursday, May 16, 2019, at her home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, Hopkinsville.

Mrs. Bates was born in Trenton, KY on January 4, 1932, the daughter of late Richard and Minnie Luttrull.  She was a seamstress at Flynn’s. She was a member of Wallonia Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard P. Bates Jr., her son; Richard Bates, her 2 brothers and a sister and her son-n-law, Thomas Poe.

Survivors include her daughter; Pamela Poe of Cerulean, KY; her sister, Eva “Louise” Waldop of Trenton; her grandchildren, Carmen Hooper and her husband, Matt; Richard Poe, and Whitney Wilson, and four great grandchildren, Jaxon, Hayleigh, Corey, and Madlynn Wilson

   
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Pennyroyal Hospice at 220 Burley Ave, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
