Leonardo Torres Cortes

Leonardo Torres Cortes, age 30, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN, due to a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Eagle Way By-Pass. Local Funeral Services will be at 4:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2021, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Pastor Cristobal Picado officiating with burial to be in Mexico at a later date. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until the service hour at 4:00 PM on Friday, February 26, 2021. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the local arrangements.

Leonardo was born in Santa Maria Temaxcaltepec, Oaxaca Mexico, on November 6, 1990, the son of Bonifacio Torres Salinas and Margarita Cortes Hernandez. He was of the Christian Faith and worked as a construction worker.

Survivors include his parents Bonifacio Torres Salinas and Margarita Cortes Hernandez both of Mexico; his son, Ezequiel Torres Lopez of Mexico; his daughter, Aruna Soledad Lopez Ruiz of Mexico; his three brothers, Samuel Torres Cortes of Hopkinsville, Gonzalo Torres Cortes of Hopkinsville, Manuel Torres Cortes of Mexico; his four sisters, Constancia Torres Cortes of Hopkinsville, Pascuala Torres Cortes of Hopkinsville, Ambrocia Torres Cortes of Mexico, and Elena Torres Cortes of Mexico.
