Joseph Earl Sutton

               
   Joe Sutton, age 89, passed away on May 5, 2020, at his residence of natural causes. There will be a private graveside service held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
   
   Mr. Sutton was born in Hopkinsville, KY on May 12, 1930, the son of the late Clarence and Ilene Durham Sutton. Joe retired at Freudenberg Filtration. He was in the Army National Guard and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death is his daughter, Carol Ann Baker in 2004; his brother, William C. Sutton; and his sister, Ruby Unklesbay.

   Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Oatts Sutton of Hopkinsville; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Pennyroyal Hospice at 220 Burley Avenue, Hopkinsville, KY 42240, or to the Edgewood Baptist Church Building Fund at 2300 Cadiz Rd. Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
