Joseph "Joe" Allen Cressman

Joseph “Joe” Allen Cressman, age 73, of Hopkinsville passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Tristar Centennial Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mr. Cressman was born in Port Gibson, Mississippi, on December 4, 1949, the son of Louis and Mary Burks Cressman. Joe managed Pic Way Shoes for 24 years and then worked at MSSC for 16 years. He was a member of New Work Fellowship. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Cressman.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Cressman of Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, Matthew Cressman (Ginger) of Fairhope, AL, Markus Cressman (Aimee) of Loxley, AL; his daughter Maranda Smith (Brian) of Hopkinsville, KY; his brother, John Cressman (Elsie)of Jackson, TN; his sister, Mary Jones of Canton, GA; his sister-in-law, Laurel Cressman of Ball Ground, GA; and his 12 grandchildren.
