Johnny Lee Hensley

Johnny Lee Hensley, age 83, of Wayne Elgin Road in Hopkinsville, passed away at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Baptist Health Hospital in Madisonville of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Crabtree officiating and burial to follow in Hawkins Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Johnny was born in Christian County on September 11, 1934 to the late Earl and Erma Alexander Hensley. He was of the Christian Faith. He was a self-employed mechanic at H&H Garage. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandson Jonathan Lee Hensley.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Glenda Elgin Hensley of Hopkinsville; one son Anthony “Tony” Hensley and his wife Dawn of Greenville, KY; one daughter Teresa Hensley of Nashville, TN; one brother Doyle Ray Hensley and his wife Elaine of Princeton, KY; one sister Patsy Gee and her husband Tom of Dawson Springs, KY; one granddaughter Whitney Hensley Young and her husband Ronnie of Hopkinsville; and two great grandchildren Nolan Young and Habary Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Dogwood Christian Church at 5005 Dogwood Kelly Road Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
