Uncle Johnny will be greatly missed. I have fond memories of fishing and hanging out with him in my many trips to Kentucky. He always had something nice to say and if not, he just said I reckon! Much love and prayers sent to you all in this difficult time.

Glenda, Anthony, Teresa, Doyle Ray, and Patsy and rest of family,
So sorry to hear about Johnny. I was shocked when I heard the news. There are a lot of memories to look back on because we have known each other for so long. I want you to know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Just look to God to strength to get through the difficult days and weeks ahead. My prayer is that he will place his arms around you and give you strength. Johnny is in a better place with no pain or suffering and he is with family that have gone on before and you will see him again.
With our deepest sympathy and prayers,
Connie & Tommy Major

My heart is heavy today losing my sweet uncle Johnny. I know you are now resting with other loved ones in heaven.
I have very fond memories of your entertaining all of us wild kids. You could spin a basketball on your finger as good as any Harlem Globetrotter. Your biceps were bigger than "Popeye the sailor man's" and you loved showing them off! I remember us begging you to flex. And there was that one Friday night when I ate the entire container of french onion dip and a bag of ruffles for dinner. I think you were irritated I did not save you any.
You were a great mechanic and passionate builder. I watched as you worked so hard and remember you laying the bricks of our sweet grandmother Dolly's home. That house stood strong during the 2006 tornadoes when others nearby were destroyed. What talent!
There wasn't a sporting event you missed on TV ... I can still hear the comforting sounds of the games blaring in the background.
I'm so glad I got to see you this past Thanksgiving. I hugged you one last time before I left, not knowing it would be the last.
We will miss you uncle Johnny. Thank you for taking good care of Aunt Glenda and so many of us in our family. God Bless you and rest well.
Stacey
