John Thomas Adams Jr.

John “Johnny” Thomas Adams Jr., age 68, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away at 2:17 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2019. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2019 with burial to follow at Riverside. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Adams was born on September 20, 1951, in Christian County, KY, to the late Oscar John Thomas Adams Sr. and Patricia Russell Adams. He was a retired firefighter for Fort Campbell. He was also a retired Army Reservist. Johnny also was an umpire for the youth Babe Ruth Baseball League and was a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church.   
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shirley Adams of Hopkinsville; his son, John Thomas Adams III and his wife Jennifer of Hopkinsville; his daughter, Jeri Lynn Adams of Hopkinsville; his brothers, William “Rusty” Adams and his wife Lissa of Pensacola, FL, Richard Adams and his wife Jackie of Hopkinsville, Joseph Adams and his wife Christy of Hopkinsville; his sisters, Melinda Ross and her husband Richard of Hopkinsville, Patricia Gibson and her husband Greg Sr., Wendy Skinner and her husband Roger of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Adams, Meghan Joanne Adams, Oscar John Thomas Adams IV, Abigail Layne Adams, and Joshua Mitchell Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
