Jinnie Gilford Skinner McDaniel

Jinnie Gilford Skinner McDaniel, age 83, of Hopkinsville passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at her home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 15, 2022, at Maddux Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home Friday, April 15, 2022, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. McDaniel was born in Todd County, KY, on July 31, 1938, the daughter of the late Charlie and Ethel Jones Gilford. Jinnie retired as owner and operator of Jinnie’s Cleaning Service. She was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William H. “Bill” Skinner; her brothers, Johnny Gilford, EG Gilford, Jim Gilford, Richard Gilford, William “Rooster” Gilford; her sisters, Mary Alliegood, Emma Witty, and Shirlie McCord.

Survivors include her son, Tony W. Mixon of Hopkinsville; her sisters, Barbara Kenady of Hopkinsville, Gail Chilton of Pembroke; her grandson, Tony Mixon and his wife Chelsie of Hopkinsville; and three great-grandchildren, Raylynn, Lannah, and Quentin.
