Jewell “Red” Tucker age 92 of Hopkinsville passed away 4:55 PM Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab of natural causes. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Tucker was born June 5, 1925 in Hopkinsville, KY the son of the late E.W. and Annie Loftus Tucker. He was retired from Goldenrod Milk Company where he was a Milk man and was a member of Eagle Way Church of Christ. Mr. Tucker was a World War II US Army Veteran where he received the Purple Heart and a Bronze Star and a member of the VFW Post 1913. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Robertson Tucker in 1988, three brothers, Clayton Tucker, Morris Tucker and Alvin Tucker; three sisters, Illene Sherril, Shirley Tucker and Dorothy Deason.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy L. Tucker and his wife, Heather of Hopkinsivlle and Thomas W. Tucker of New Albany, IN; one sister, Wilma Steinbruegge of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
