Janie Louise Hudspeth

Janie L. Hale Hudspeth, age 86, of Hopkinsville passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Baptist Health of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00PM on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton-Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home Monday, May 23, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Hudspeth was born in Madisonville, KY, on September 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Sampson Hale and Myrtle Johnson Hale. Janie was homemaker and of the Baptist faith; as well as a survivor of breast cancer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Alma Lucille Combs; her brother, William “Bud” Riley Hale; her sister, Rosie Lee Love, Mary Frances Taylor; her son-in-laws, John Combs and Howard Marshall, Sr.; her grandchildren, Jason E Combs, and Amanda Combs Ortiz.

Survivors include her son, Troy Lynn Hudspeth Sr. and his wife Maria of Hopkinsville; her daughters, Tracy Lyn Cooksey and her husband Tim, of Hopkinsville, Marilyn Marshall, of Hopkinsville, Donna Lisa Crick and her husband Troy, of Elizabethtown; thirteen grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
