James Brandon Moss, age 93 of Hopkinsville passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 of natural causes. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Rachel Ganther officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service hour Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Moss was born February 23, 1925 in Lafayette, KY, the son of the late Annie Belle Johnson Moss. James was in the US Army serving during WWII. He was retired from Western Kentucky Gas Company after 40 years. James was a member of Pembroke Christian Church. He was a Charter member of Western Hills Golf Course serving as treasure for 18 years. He was also an avid Hopkinsville High School Sports Fan attending football, baseball and basketball games for over 65 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Garnett Moss, and his sister, Carrie Lee Barnes.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Margaret Bond Moss of Hopkinsville; his son, John Leslie Moss of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Anna Nicole Moss of Clarksville, and Jacob Andrew Moss of Clarksville.
