James Clark, age 89, of Casky Lane, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020, at his home of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Casky Baptist Church with Rev. Jesse Brown officiating with burial to follow in Rosedale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2020 at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Clark was born in Christian County on March 24, 1930, the son of the late Newell H. and Nell Courtney Clark. James was a lifetime farmer and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member and deacon of Casky Baptist Church, a member of the Southern State’s Petroleum Board, and the Western Kentucky State Fair Board. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Wilmoth Clark Dossett.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Cavanah Clark of Hopkinsville; his son, James Lindsey Clark and his wife Lynn of Hopkinsville; his daughter Cindy Stepp and her husband Joe of Pippa Passes, KY; his sister Bettye Gush of Birmingham, AL; four grandchildren, Clark Stepp, Clinton Stepp, James Taylor, and Hailee Barnes; and two great granddaughters, Oaklyn Stepp, and Madelyn Taylor.
