Jack Moore, age 77, of Hopkinsville passed away at 7:51 AM Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Paige Williams officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West with full military honors. Visitation will be on Monday, April 8, 2019, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home and on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moore was born in Barren County, KY on April 10, 1941, to the late Phillip and Nova Witty Moore. He served in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He worked and retired after 20 years with Kentucky Finance Company. Jack started working for United Southern Bank in 1983; he assumed the role as the President of the bank in January 1990, he retired as the President in 2010, and finished out his banking career in 2016 when he retired from United Southern Bank. He was previously a member of the Western Kentucky State Fair Board, a HES Board Member, and on the HCC Foundation Board. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Gary Moore.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marie Moore of Hopkinsville; his son, Jason D. Moore of Lexington, KY; and his two sisters, Linda Gail Settle and husband John Roy of Temple Hill, KY, and Marla Calvert and her husband Wayne of Bowling Green, KY.
