Iris Winifred Scillian

Iris Winifred Scillian, age 93 of Pembroke passed away 9:41 PM Friday, September 14, 2018 at her home of natural causes. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Pembroke United Methodist Church with Rev. David Bannister officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Pembroke. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the service hour. Maddux Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scillian was born in Eden, NC the daughter of the late William Thomas and Gladys Woodall Young. She was a retired Registered Nurse at Fort Campbell Army Hospital and a member of Pembroke United Methodist Church. Mrs. Scillian was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Travis Scillian in 1991 and three brothers.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Edwin Scillian of Herndon; one daughter, Nancy Carol King of Pembroke; one brother, Courtney Young of Eden, NC; five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
