Helen Lucille White Coker, age 75, formerly of Merriwood Parkway in Hopkinsville, passed away at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Covington’s Convalescent Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home. Burial will be at 12:00 PM Noon Monday, July 30, 2018, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Helen was born on April 27, 1933 in Mt. Carmel, IL, to the late Hobert White and Mary Francis Jordan Shoemaker. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Retired 1st SGT Lawrence E. Coker in 2000; her daughter, Pam Coker-Stokely; and her four brothers, Tolis, Don, John, and Dallas White.
Survivors include her son, Larry Coker and his wife Jena of Radcliff, KY; her two daughters, Diana Burgess and her husband Billy of Hopkinsville, Heather Andrews and her husband Ryan of Pittsburg, PA; her sister, Mabel Alberta Lambert of Mt. Carmel, IL; special nephew, Shawn White of Grayville, IL; seven grandchildren, Audra Wooten and her husband Bryan of Mauldin, S.C., Elyse Coker of Kansas City, MO, Ethan Coker of Chiang Mai, Thailand, Jason Burgess and his wife Karen of Orlando, FL, Amanda Wright and her husband Chris of JBer, AK, Amy Hughes and her husband Christian of Hopkinsville, and Roger Bush of AR; and twenty great grandchildren.
