Mr. George Clark Ritchie went home to be with His Savior on Christmas Day 2021, at the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN. Services for Mr. Ritchie will be at Maddux Fuqua Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, KY Friday, December 31, 2021 at 12:00 Noon with Jeremy Hayes and David Harrison officiating and burial to follow in New Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, 2021, from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 12:00 Noon. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Mr. Ritchie was born on April 16, 1944 in Chardon OH the son of the late William LaVaughn and Marion Elizabeth Aley Ritchie. He graduated from Burton High School in 1962 and later obtained his BS from Austin Peay State University. He served 28 years in the military and retired with the 5th SFG. After retiring from the US Army, he became a network engineer for MWR at Fort Campbell. George enjoyed his wood working shop, and building furniture in support of the missions. George was a member of the Kentucky Disaster Relief Team and a member of Concord Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, William Bertram Ritchie.

   Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Karen Raye Hayes-Ritchie of Hopkinsville; his sons, Jerre Ritchie and his wife Michellel of Willoughby Hills, OH, and Todd Ritchie and his wife Kelly of Mentor, OH; his brother, Thomas Robert Ritchie and his wife Kathy of Lockhart, TX; his sisters, Judith Paris of Cochranton, PA, and Dorothy Jones and her husband Robert of Bulverde, TX; and four grandchildren.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Beautifully Broken Ministries at 401 East 23rd Street Hopkinsville, KY.
