Geneva Pauline Pryor Hancock

Geneva Pauline Pryor Hancock, age 99, of Hopkinsville, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Bradford Heights of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Flat Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Mrs. Hancock was born November 20, 1923, in Christian County, the daughter of the late Guy Author and Grady Lois Dunn Pryor. She was a homemaker. Geneva was a member of Flat Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin “Ed” Hancock; her daughter, Norma Dean Hancock Sholar; and her brothers, Charles Newman Pryor and Floyd Tinsley Pryor.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Hancock and his wife Sandra of Hopkinsville; son-in-law, Belmont Sholar; her grandchildren, Marsha Sholar Bourne, Keith Sholar and his wife Ginnie, Kim Hancock Williams and her husband Tommy, Ken Hancock and his wife Becky, Karyn Hancock Harper and her husband Jason; twelve great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
