Gene C. Joiner

Gene C. Joiner, age 86, of Gracey, KY, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 10, 2018, at Locust Grove Baptist Church in Trigg County with Rev. Terry Joiner and Rev. Tim Smith officiating and burial to follow in Flat Lick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home and then from 10:00 AM until the funeral time at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 10, 2018, at Locust Grove Baptist Church. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
   Mr. Joiner was born on April 5, 1932, in Lafayette, KY, the son of the late Roy Wesley and Senora Turner Joiner. He retired after 37 years at Thomas Industries. He was in the United States Army. He was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church in Trigg County. In addition to his parents, four brothers and three sisters precede him in death.
   Survivors include his wife of 62 years Edith Joiner of Gracey; three sons, Joe Joiner and his wife Cindy of Sebree, KY, Randy Joiner and his wife Shari of Christian County, Terry Joiner and his wife Lee Ellen of Elkton; one brother, Daniel Joiner of Pembroke; two sisters Alice Faye Hancock of Hopkinsville and Gustie Mae Compton of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren, Jacob Wesley Joiner, Amber Nicole Gifford, Phillip James (PJ) Joiner, Ariel Marie Joiner, Mitchell Ryan Joiner; two great grandchildren, Jaide Tapp and Tine Wesley Joiner.
   Memorial Contributions can be made to Locust Grove Baptist Church Building Fund at 73 Locust Grove Church Road Cadiz, KY 42211.
