Gayle M. Haddock, age 76, of Hopkinsville passed away on July 3, 2020, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Stamps officiating and burial to follow with military honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Mr. Haddock was born on June 4, 1944, in Christian County to the late Odell and Frances “Juadell” Cannon Haddock. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for 23 years at Duraco and 6 years for Stone Plastics in Cadiz. He was a member of Kings Chapel Fellowship, a charter member of the Christian Co. Rescue Team, life member of the VFW, life member of DAV, and he was a Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death is his sister, Francis Marie Haddock in 1941.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Ann Whitman Haddock of Hopkinsville; his son, Barry Haddock and his wife Cheryl of Hopkinsville; his sister, Mary Helen Kenney of Scottsville, KY; his two grandchildren, Seth Haddock and his wife Hallie of Russellville; Kayla Haddock George and her husband Dylan of Herndon; and his one great grandson Rhett Tyler Haddock.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Christian County Rescue Team or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
