Gary L. Lienberger, age 75, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Baptist Health in Madisonville of natural causes. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Concord Baptist Church with Rev. David Harrison officiating. A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2022, in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing, MI. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Gary was born in Concordia, KS, on September 25, 1946, the son of the late Howard and Leona Mable Plumby Lienberger. He grew up spending with time with Aunts and Uncles on the farm; always busy, as a young boy with odd jobs. Gary met Cathy Sacha (Lienberger) February 1965, while attending Ottawa University, in Ottawa KS; where they were engaged in February 1965. He then later went on to marry his beloved bride on December 31, 1965. They have lived in Kentucky, Louisiana, Kansas, and California. Gary and his family moved from southern CA, to Hopkinsville, KY in July 2019. Shortly after arriving, he and Cathy and Jamie (daughter) began attending Concord Baptist Church. Gary was a substitute teacher while attending Concord. Gary was always active with odd jobs and work even after becoming semi retired. He worked at Enterprise Car Rental in Hopkinsville. He was an authentic believer of the Bible and in Jesus. He loved his Lord. He always enjoyed sharing the Bible and his Jesus with anyone he'd meet, whether he knew them or not. Missionaries to Canada for 20 years beginning September 1968. Started churches, preached the gospel to the native Indians of the Canadian North. He enjoyed fishing, canoeing and horseback riding. Always busy doing something. In business, he was admired by many for the way he communicated and how he conducted his business. In his family life, Gary, as husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather was fiercely loyal and loving to all of his family, his childrens' spouses his grand childrens' spouses became one more piece of the family puzzle. You never had to doubt where he stood. You wanted to make sure you were on the right side of that line with him. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army.
 
He is survived by his wife, Cathy,Marty(son) and Monica Lienberger, Melanie, Mason Meredith Lienberger, his daughter Jamie, her children, Mandi and Marshall Macon Jr. Malachi and Makylah Port Orange Florida, Daniella Malena, Landon Malena, Pomona, California.  Chris Malena, Active Duty US Army, WO1, his fiancé Alycia Choquette, Clarksville, TN., SFC Anthony Active Duty US Army,  and Christina Malena, AJ Malena, Oahu, Hawaii.  His older brother Kenneth Lienberger, Topeka, Kansas,  his younger sister Mary-Lou (Lienberger) and Harlan Foskett, Amarillo, Texas.
