Eugene "Gene" Davis Massie Jr.

         Eugene “Gene” Davis Massie, Jr., age 54, of Pembroke Oak Grove Road in Pembroke passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center after a brief illness. A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Pembroke Christian Church Disciples of Christ with Rev. Nate Quarcelino, Rev. Terry Kisler, and Rev. Rachel Ganther officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville, KY.
   Gene was born on January 25, 1964, in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of Eugene Davis Massie, Sr. and Thelma Dossett Massie of Hopkinsville. He worked at Fort Campbell Dependent Schools as an I.T. specialist for over 32 years. He was a life-long member of the Pembroke Christian Church Disciples of Christ where he served as an elder. He was also a member of Christian County Cattleman’s Association.
   In addition to his parents, survivors include wife of 32 years, Cindy Canady Massie of Pembroke; his two sons, Wesley Massie of Clarksville, and Robby Massie and his fiancé Mallory Perkins of Pembroke; and his sister Jeri Lynn Massie Spurr of Hopkinsville. He was a beloved uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
