Elsie Pearl Pitzer

Elsie Pearl Duvall Pitzer, age 94, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Boone officiating and burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements. 

Mrs. Pitzer was born in Christian County, on March 10, 1927, the daughter of the late Howard Rodman “H.R.” and Annie Pearl White Duvall. She was a homemaker and a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Pitzer in 1986; her daughter, Judy Arlene Watts; her brothers, Charles Elwood Duvall, Howard Rodman Duvall, Jr., James Howard Duvall, and James Wallace Duvall; her sisters, Hallie Lola Haskins, Mildred Ruth Gamble, Elizabeth Fuller, Edith Lorell West, and Margaret Jean Armstrong; her granddaughter, Heather Lancaster; her great grandson, Sean Christopher Wiley; and her companion Charlie Hicks.

Survivors include her son, Charles Keith Watts and his wife Debra of Lynchburg, VA; her daughters, Karla Watts Clouse and her husband David of Hopkinsville, Susan Juliet Watts Loftus and her husband Kevin of Hopkinsville, and Karen Jo Watts Gibbs and her husband Larry of Hopkinsville; her brother, Oscar Lafayette “Proc” Duvall of Hopkinsville; 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Gideon’s International.
